If you are having another procedure, such as a facelift, the implants can be placed through the same incision. If not, incisions are placed within the mouth in most cases.

Recovery After Chin or Cheek Implants

The recovery from these procedures is not exceptionally difficult. After surgery, the treated area will be bandaged so the area heals correctly and is protected. The bandages will remain for several days, and you will need to restrict your activities for at least one week. Some swelling and bruising is normal, but our use of specialized vitamin supplements can help you heal more quickly and ward off inflammation and bruising. There is little pain associated with these procedures, and after the first few days, it is not likely you will need to use any pain medication.
