Short Scar Facelift

Some patients do not require a full facelift; they can achieve rejuvenation with a “short scar” technique. This may be the correct surgical approach if you have mild to moderate facial sagging but do not have extreme neck sagging or laxity. The incisions are shorter, recovery time faster, and the scars are hidden and virtually invisible once recovery is complete.

Endoscopic Facelifts

Modern technology makes it possible to avoid large incisions with the use of a tiny camera, inserted through small, well-concealed incisions. This type of facelift can dramatically improve certain aesthetic issues in the cheek area but is not considered appropriate for those who want to address sagging neck or lower face tissue and skin.

Cheek Lift

Droopy cheeks are one of the more depressing signs of aging facial skin. As the skin loses its firm, supple quality, and stops producing collagen at the same rate, the cheeks can droop and sag, creating deep folds from the nose to the sides of the mouth, called nasolabial folds. To address this issue, it may be possible to restore a more youthful look with a cheek lift, in which incisions are made within the mouth, and are completely invisible once healed.

Mini Facelift

A mini facelift can be performed either under general anesthesia or local anesthesia with sedation. Dr. Beck will carefully start the incision at the temporal hairline. The incision will be made there and go down to the front of the ear and then around the earlobe, where it stops in the crease behind the ear. This incision is shorter than a full facelift incision, which results in less visibility after healing.

Deep Plane Facelift

The deep plane facelift is a specialized procedure that can reverse signs of facial aging while maintaining a natural and rejuvenated appearance. Unlike traditional facelifts, the deep plane technique offers longer-lasting results and avoids the overly tightened look. One of the significant advantages of the deep plane facelift is its ability to deliver enduring results that surpass those achieved by other techniques. Full Facelift

This procedure is often appropriate for people with significant signs of aging skin and excess sagging, drooping, creases, and lines. A full facelift will restore a more youthful look for ten to fifteen years into the future. In this procedure, an incision is made in an area that will be hidden, typically at the temples, within the hairline. For those with a higher degree of excess sagging neck skin, another incision may be placed under the chin, where it will not be visible once healed. Through these carefully-placed incisions, lax facial muscles, tissue, skin and fat are repositioned. Excess skin, fat, and tissue will be removed and the incisions carefully closed. The SMAS layer may need to be adjusted to restore the facial muscular structure. Your face will appear natural, defined, and like you, as you were in the past.

How long will the results from a facelift last?

Every individual responds differently to a facelift; it is difficult to say precisely how long your results will last. The factors affecting the longevity of your results include genetics, the technique used, whether you smoke or drink, your skincare regimen and the skills of your surgeon. You can generally expect your results to last around 15 years.

What is the ideal age to get a facelift?

The ideal time to have a facelift may be different for each individual. Generally, facelifts are performed in the 40s or 50s but can be performed on younger individuals when it is appropriate, particularly a mini-facelift to address the early signs of aging on the mid to lower face area.

When can I go out in public after a facelift?

Most patients feel comfortable going out in public within 10 to 14 days after their procedure. You will be able to camouflage signs of bruising with makeup, but you may still have some mild swelling. When you decide to go in public after a facelift depends on your individual rate of healing, and your own comfort in how you look. Within four weeks, you should feel ready to attend social events.
